July 17,2005!! Has it been 3 years? Sometimes it seems like it has been forever and then at other times it seems like it was yesterday! It has been the hardest thing we have ever been through, needless to say. We have wonderful memories of some great times together. He loved his friends and being with them meant everything to him! I can understand why because they have been so good to us. We still hear from so many of them! I hope they know how much each one of them mean to us. Time has stood still for us in so many ways. It's not only hard for us but so many other people,too. Phyllis and Jim are so special to us. We have gone through this loss together. Whitney was such a good friend to E. J. Lee lost 2 best friends and I know it has been hard for him, too. I can't say enough good things about Lee. He's wonderful! We're so thankful for him! We're in Hot Springs this week. I hope remembering E.J. and Whitney makes you smile even though we miss them! They were GREAT guys!

We were away at the Little Red River for these past few days -- being at home during this time is simply not possible...Being at home a lot of days is hard but something we must do -- we do not have to do it at this particular time. You're absolutely right -- Lee is one of the most special young men and we are lucky to have him in our lives. He was the best friend our boys could have and they all loved being together, as evidenced by the big smiles on their faces of this photo. This truly is a journey but it is the love of our family, our friends and our God that has brought us this far and will continue to heal our hearts. They may be gone but they will NEVER be forgotten.
